Marketplace Listings

Sellers will list their item or service in a fixed price or auction format. Here’s how to purchase or confidently bid on the marketplace.

1. Create a Free Marketplace Account

You must have an account to participate in our marketplace.  Registration is 100% free, requires some basic information, and requires verifying your e-mail address.

2. Do Your Due Diligence

Because listings come directly from individual sellers, details such as item condition, authentication, descriptions, and shipping methods may vary. Buyers are encouraged to review each listing carefully, check photos, compare specs, and ask questions before making a purchase or placing a bid. Taking a moment to do your research helps ensure a smooth and positive buying experience from start to finish.
 

3. Images and Descriptions

Take time to thoroughly examine the photos and description in each listing. If anything seems uncertain or inconsistent, reach out to the seller for clarification. You might ask:

• Do the photos shown accurately reflect the item described?
• Are these pictures of the exact item being sold?
• Is there any detail that might not be fully captured or clearly represented in the listing?
• Ask questions using the “Questions & Answers” section on the listing.
   

4. Quality and Authenticity

When buying luxury, designer, or high-value items, confirming their authenticity is crucial:

• For high-ticket items, can the seller provide proof of authenticity?
• Ask for additional pictures or supporting documentation to be added to the listing.
• We encourage sellers to use third-party authentication services like Legit Grails or Real Authentication.
   

5. Shipping and Delivery

Understanding how an item will be shipped can help ensure it arrives safely and on time. If delivery speed matters, be sure to ask the seller about handling and shipping details.

• Which shipping method will be used, and what is the estimated delivery timeframe?
• How does the seller plan to send the item, and what is the cost listed?
• What type of packaging will be used to protect the item during transit?
• Some sellers offer safe local pickup.
   

6. Payment

• Our Marketplace provides direct PayPal and Stripe payments for excellent buyer and seller protection.
• Sellers may also choose to list other offline (off-marketplace) payment methods they accept in their listing.
   

7. Place a Bid, Buy Now, or Make an Offer (if available)

Our Marketplace is intuitive and secure:

• Fixed-priced listings can be immediately purchased by clicking "Buy Now."
• All auction bids are binding, so only bid if you’re fully committed and have completed your due diligence.
• To keep bidding fair, any bids placed within the final 60 seconds will extend the auction by 2 minutes.
• Some fixed-price or auction listings may utilize a “Make Offer” option. Submitting an offer is binding — only make an offer if you're ready to follow through if it's accepted.
• A small Buyers Premium fee is applied to the winning bidder or buyer — whether you purchase through bidding, Buy Now, or an accepted offer — at the time of checkout. Each listing clearly displays its Buyers Premium tier, and the amount is fully confirmed during the bid, Buy Now, or offer-confirmation process.
• Once the Buyers Premium fee is paid by the buyer, the order will move to the seller for finalizing the payment and shipping.
• The Buyers Premium fee is only refundable if the purchase is not fulfilled by the seller (lost in shipping, damaged in transit, not shipped at all, or not delivered as advertised and not corrected by the seller). Please contact us for further information or help regarding this.

8. Winning an Auction

The highest bidder wins — simple as that.

• If the auction has a Reserve Price, your bid must meet or exceed the hidden minimum set by the seller.
• If the auction is No Reserve, the highest bid wins regardless of the amount.

Once the auction concludes, a Buy Now is made, or a make offer is accepted, you will be prompted to pay the Buyers Premium fee.  Once paid, you will be connected directly with the seller to complete the transaction. Both parties will receive each other’s contact information to arrange payment, local pickup, or shipping. Payment for the full purchase price is made directly to the seller using the payment method(s) they specified in their listing.

Buyers are expected to complete payment within 24 hours of winning the auction, Buy Now, or offer being accepted.
